Breanne Rising, AMFT

Breanne Rising is a therapist who values being authentic, nonjudgmental, and open-hearted. No topic is off limits! Her gentle yet direct communication style helps partners and individuals connect with their strengths and identify what’s really important to them. She works with partners to recognize and break out of old patterns to help them find their own voice and better communicate their goals, passions, and needs —within oneself and within ones relationships. Mary Beth Reticker has been helping couples and individuals heal their relationships for over 20 years. Her goal is to help people improve their communication skills and have the closeness and love they want. Her style has been described as warm, empathic and insightful. She has heard from the couples she has worked with that her calming presence enables them to create a safe enough space to address difficult issues.

Mary Beth uses Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, the method of couples therapy shown to help 7 out of 10 couples move from distress to closeness. She also draws on theories and approaches that focus on how interpersonal patterns affect a couple's capacity for intimacy. Mary Beth has co-created and co-led a 10-week writing group for people with HIV and has provided clinical training and supervision to therapists and trainees in the Bay Area for the past 10 years.
